Performance characteristics

1. The machine bed is made of resin sand casting, which has small deformation and high strength after secondary tempering.

Machine overview

The basic principle of EDM wire cutting is to use the tool electrode to perform pulse discharge on the workpiece to achieve processing. EDM wire cutting does not require the production of forming electrodes, and uses thin metal wire (usually called molybdenum wire) as the tool electrode. The positive pole of the pulse power supply is connected to the workpiece, and the negative pole is connected to the molybdenum wire; the molybdenum wire moves back and forth at a certain speed, and it constantly enters and leaves the discharge area; at the same time, a liquid medium is sprayed between the molybdenum wire and the workpiece. As long as the operator effectively controls the speed and trajectory of the molybdenum wire's movement on the workpiece, the required shape and size of the workpiece can be cut. The trajectory of the workpiece movement is formed by the coordinate worktable (two controlled stepper motors in the vertical and horizontal directions) moving in the X and Y directions.
The main machine of the DK series CNC wire cutting machine tool is composed of a bed, a worktable, a wire feeding device, a wire rack, a coolant tank, machine tool electrical appliances, accessories and other components. It is based on the bed, and the worktable, the wire feeding device, and the wire rack are installed on the same base surface of the bed.
The following are introduced separately:
1) Bed
The bed is a box-shaped resin sand cast iron part, which is an integral casting structure. The upper part is installed with a workbench, wire storage drum, wire rack, lighting and other parts.
2) Workbench
The workbench is mainly composed of a workbench surface, a middle drag plate, a ball screw and a speed gear box. The longitudinal and transverse movement of the drag plate adopts a ball guide structure, and the stepper motor drives the screw through two pairs of anti-backlash gears to realize the movement of the workbench. The ball screw has the advantages of high transmission accuracy, high efficiency and long life.
3) Wire transport device
The wire storage drum is composed of a thin-walled hollow cylinder. The motor drives the wire storage drum to rotate through the connector, and the reciprocating movement of the wire storage drum comes from the screw after the gear speed change to drive the wire transport device drag plate.
The frequent reversing of the wire storage drum drag plate is controlled by a set of induction switches. The structure is simple and the operation is sensitive. The left and right collision blocks are equipped with overload safety devices. When the induction switch fails to change direction, the current of the wire transport motor is cut off.
4) Wire rack
The molybdenum wire is like a closed transmission belt, which is driven by the winding drum to work back and forth. The wire wheel and a pair of main guide wheels are wrapped by the molybdenum wire and run in a cycle.
The guide wheel adopts a sealed section of molybdenum wire vertically.
5) Coolant tank
The water pump delivers the working fluid to the processing area. The sediment accumulates in the dirt box and must be cleaned regularly. The working coolant uses DX-1 saponified liquid.
6) Accessories
① Clamp: The group of clamps is used to fix the flat plate or cylindrical workpiece, and the clamp is fixed to the workbench with a T-type screw.
② Crank: Used for winding the wire to rotate the wire storage drum.
③ Wire tightening wheel: Used to manually tighten the molybdenum wire.
